Look: Krazy Garlic (Greenbelt 5, Makati City)

Hello buddies! I apologize for being MIA in the past few weeks. I actually don’t have an excuse. I’m just SERIOUSLY procrastinating. I will try my best to go back to my old blogging habit.

Anyway, here’s a late post. It was on my draft for a long time now, and only got to finish this today. Enjoy!

Last weekend A long time ago (since this is an extremely late post), the LOML and I meet up for lunch at Krazy Garlik in Greenbelt 5, Makati City. I don’t usually go to Greenbelt. Well, I don’t usually go to Makati. But I’ll surely do it for my love one in a heartbeat.

It was my first time to dine here, but I think I already heard of the resto from C.I. years ago. I don’t think there’s a branch near us, tho. Sad. Because food were beyond mediocre.

As I entered the resto, the first thing I noticed was the smell. The place smelled soooo yummy. Literally, the first thing I said to M was “Ang bango naman dito”.

We were then given free nachos, which was devoured in minutes.

I opted to order a cup of Cafe Mocha, which was not something out of the ordinary.

Cafe Mocha, Php 120

Here are our orders:

Cheese Dynamites, Php 195

Their Cheese Dynamites was a delight. It really was spicy. I can eat at least 10 of these in one sitting.

M and I opted for an afternoon alcohol, because why the hell not. M got this Tropical Blush.

I got the Cucumber Splash. We ordered these before Happy Hours (7pm) because it was lunch time (Duh. And also no apologies) and they were supposed to sell half their prices. When I checked out the bill, M’s drink was halved, while mine was not.

Anyway. This drink was pretty and delicious. M’s drink had more “kick”, tho.

Cucumber Splash, Php 150

We also got Garlik Rice. This was enough for the four of us, but we were all “on a diet”. Lolz. Not really. I think this can feed two or three generously.

Garlik Rice (the larger of the two sized), Php 145 (Solo serving cost Php 65)

We also got a Garlicky Crispy Pata, the smaller of the two sizes. This was a good crispy pata. However, it’s not at par with Livestock’s, so. The meat was tender and the skin has the right amount of crunch.

Garlicky Crispy Pata, Php 495

D also requested for 1/2 Shrimp in a Bag (Crab fat), and since she’s the pregnant one, of course we got one. This, I am not a fan. I just don’t like the extra step of undressing my food. It was also too salty for my taste, although I would have to acknowledge that it was, in fact, very flavorful and savory. I guess to remedy the strong taste, you pair this with TONS of rice. Plain rice is best, so as not to be in conflict with the strong flavor.

1/2 Shrimp in a Bag (Crab fat) , Php 595 (larger serving cost Php 995)

Ok. Let’s stop here for a while.

Ok. We also ordered Garlik Snowflakes. It was, for lack of better word, magnificent.

Let me show you another photo of that pizza:

… and another…

… and another:

Their pizza was PHENOMENAL. The crush has a garlicky flavor, which was a nice touch. The crust was of the perfect thickness (it was thin). I also do not like pineapple on my pizza, but the pineapple on this one made it perfect. It contradicted and balanced out the salty flavor of the cheese. It was truly a delight.

My thoughts:

  • Krazy Garlik is a good place to eat. Service was fast and servers were attentive. The amount of time of the preparation of food was just. It may be a little pricey, but some items on their menu are very much worth it (the pizza. I was talking about the pizza).
  • Will I eat here again? Sure. But I would not exactly pay 500 for a roundtrip uber just to eat here. However, if I’m already in the area, I would definitely consider eating here again.
