Oscars 2013: Django Unchained (2012)

– I honestly don’t know what to say about the movie. So you can just refer to the tweets above.

– This is a Tarantino movie, so expect some weirdness. I am such a big fan of Quentin Tarantino, but for me, this is not his best. That’s not really saying a lot since most of his films are his best. But Django Unchained is among his weaker films.

– I really don’t like the ending. Maybe this could be my best movie if the ending was different. I didn’t find it long (apparently, some people do), thought. The length is ok, but the ending was, err, very non-Tarantino-ish.

– well, maybe I was expecting an ending as spectacular as Inglorious Basterds’. Django ended pretty blah.

– actings were s exceptional. Christopher Waltz just carried the whole movie. He brightened up every scene he was in. Leo the Caprio deserved an Oscar nomination. Samuel L. Jackson’s character was annoying. SLJ was very believable.

– Still picking Lincoln over this. But this was the 2nd most fun movie of the bunch (first would be Argo).

[checklist: I’ve watch everything except Amour].
